Schematic map — not to scale
Select a pole on the map to see its modules, status and emergency readiness.
Matching poles
Prototype note. The map is a schematic drawing, and pole locations, energy readings and statuses are simulated for this coursework demonstration — they do not come from live government hardware.
During an emergency
Storm mode changes what the network prioritises.
When the Observatory raises Signal 8 or above, the control centre switches every pole to emergency duty: lighting stays on, EV charging pauses, 5G and Wi-Fi stay available for as long as the battery allows, and AED cabinets unlock automatically.
Use the Storm mode button above the map to see which poles stay available.
Lighting & communication first
Battery modules reserve 8 hours of lighting and 4 hours of connectivity.
Charging paused, not off
EV points stop drawing load and become free emergency sockets if needed.
AED unlocked
The 999 centre can remotely open every cabinet inside the affected district.
